Call for Presentations

The ACE/NETC program committee invites you to submit proposals for 15-, 45-, and 90-minute breakout sessions at the conference. While we welcome all proposals, the committee is specifically seeking proposals that address the following themes:

  • Positioning for the future: What are you doing that is new, different or in some other way pertinent to preparing for the future of your profession or organization?
  • Working differently: Most of us are contending with new realities in the workplace, be they cultural changes, emerging technologies, or budget cuts, reorganization, reassignment, employee turnover--you get the drift. How are you working differently to cope with or even thrive in these new environments?
  • Collaboration: What new partnerships have you established and what impact are they making? How can we join you? What tools are you using to collaborate more effectively?
  • What’s new and cool in your world? What new creations or discoveries do you have to share? What new software, equipment or technique is changing your world?
  • Extending the University: Communication about science is more pertinent than ever. How are you reaching new audiences--or reaching old audiences in new ways?
  • Cross-cutting sessions: Technology and communications units must work together more closely and seamlessly than ever before. Would your session appeal to people from both sides of the aisle? Why? Proposals with cross-cutting topics will rise to the top.
  • SIG-specific requests: ACE Special Interest Groups will be provided meeting time upon request. We invite all ACE SIG leaders to enter proposals for SIG meetings and other desired SIG-sponsored breakout sessions.

Applications should be submitted at https://kstatedce.wufoo.com/forms/2011-acenetc-conference-proposal/ by January 15, 2011. Presenters will be notified by mid-February.
